Lebeka Shin, LMSW
Hello, I am Lebeka Shin and it is my hope that you will always feel welcome in my office. I provide individual and family therapy services to children and adolescents. I've devoted my career to helping those struggling with: mood dysregulation, childhood trauma, attachment issues, and adoption issues. Working together, we can partner to address your family's own specific needs.
My style is warm and family-oriented, because I truly believe that children and parents need a safe space to connect and work through challenges together. My aim is for clients to always feel welcome and at home with me.
My therapeutic approach is based largely on attachment theory, which emphasizes the deep and enduring connection between a child and his parent. We can create a tailored plan to repair and strengthen that bond, or draw on its strength to help your child heal from trauma and emotional struggles.
I received my Master's in Social Work degree at Yeshiva University in New York City and have since served in a therapeutic capacity in a residential treatment facility for children and teens, at a family shelter serving families who have experienced abuse and neglect, and a Child Advocacy Center with children and families in acute crisis due to suspected child abuse.
As a therapist focused on child and adolescent trauma, I have been trained in the following areas:
Please feel free to give me a call during which we can discuss your goals and how I can best serve you.
